Why I Started FaithWarblers: A Journey of Faith, Trauma, and Purpose
There’s one question I get asked a lot: Why did I start FaithWarblers?
To truly understand, I have to take you back to one of the most difficult moments of my life. It was a time when everything seemed to be crumbling around me—COVID had turned the world upside down, job opportunities were scarce, and to top it off, I had just walked away from a long-term relationship that I had believed would lead to marriage. But the event that shook me the most—the one that changed everything—was when I was robbed at gunpoint.
That moment was more than just fear. It was a wake-up call. A reality check. A deep confrontation with everything I thought I knew about life and faith. It left me broken, questioning everything, including God.
I remember crying out, “God, where were You? Why did You let this happen to me?” It was a dark season. But in that darkness, something powerful happened—I started talking to God more, listening more, and seeking Him more. I realized that faith isn’t just about knowing God exists; it’s about building a relationship with Him, especially when life doesn’t make sense.
At first, my healing process was personal. I started sharing prayers and scripture on my WhatsApp status, not even thinking much about it. But then, people started reaching out, telling me how those posts encouraged them, how they were going through their own struggles and needed that reminder that God is still present.
That’s when I realized—this isn’t just for me.
In 2021, I started consistently sharing prayers, encouragement, and Bible verses. And in 2024, FaithWarblers was born on Instagram. It became a digital space for faith, prayer, and community. Now, it has grown beyond just posts—it has become a movement.
One of the most beautiful things to come from this journey is FaithWarblers Sisterhood, a WhatsApp group where women from all walks of life come together to pray for each other, share testimonies, encourage one another, fast together, and grow spiritually. It’s a space for healing, faith, and purpose.
I’m not a theologian or a Bible expert. I’m just a woman who found God in her darkest hour and now wants to share that light with others. FaithWarblers is my way of saying, “You are not alone. Whatever you’re going through, God sees you, He hears you, and He has a plan for you.”
So if you’ve ever wondered why I do this, this is why.
If my story resonates with you, or if you’ve been searching for a faith-based community, I invite you to join us—whether it’s on Instagram, WhatsApp, or simply in prayer. We’re stronger together.
